Change is something that is inevitable for us all and is often said to be the only certainty in life. Yet change is something many of us still fear.

Whether change is a conscious choice for you or brought about by circumstances beyond your control, transitioning through change can be tough. Emotionally it can be a rollercoaster as you try to find your way through the forest. Following some these tips can ease the process of transition and change for you, helping you gain clarity and stay empowered to make better choices as you put one foot in front of the other walking the path of change.

  1. Self Care

As you move through any process of change, love yourself enough to keep your Self care a high priority.

  • Spend time in solitude, listening within.
  • Seek support if needed.
  • Journal to check in with how your feeling and be honest.
  • Spoil yourself a little
  • Do what makes you feel good.

 

  1. Don’t try to ‘fix’ things.

A natural inclination of the self will want to try and control the situation and ‘fix’ things, which can have you making a bad situation, worse and certainly does not engage the universal flow for best results. This behavior is a response to fear so keep a check on yourself by keeping your awareness centered around any action you choose to take.

Be sure to take time to sit with your idea for action to ensure it is centered in love and your intuition and not a fear based reaction.

  1. Reality follows where Attention goes.

Focus your daily choices on your goals and what you love doing. Be sure that your mindset and what you choose to spend your time on is going to get you where you want to be.

Focusing your mind and energy on the challenges and the emotion of it all can create overwhelm and can feed the situation with negativity, expanding its effect on your life.

Where as your attention on your, your goals and what you are creating will help to manage the change with far more ease and grace. And if you don’t have any goals, then now is a great time to create some.

Lastly, Acceptance is a key word here and one of the Seven Soul States of Grace as identified in my book Wisdom of the Soul: How to create life lived with love & inspiration made simple. When we accept that all is as it needs to be, we are choosing to operate with Faith. Faith in ourselves and the Universe will allow for the creative flow of life. Without any resistance from you, your transition to the new you, to your new life will flow not only a lot more easily and gracefully, you will also get through it to the other side of it a little more quickly too.
